Our beachfront is one of the best on Rarotonga, with icing sugar sand and brilliant turquoise water.
Our western position on Rarotonga not only gives us total shelter from the south-easterly tradewinds that typically blow across Muri Beach, but also ensures our guests enjoy daily sunsets that are best enjoyed on our private beach, with one of many quintessential cocktails on offer at Oceans or Jandals Bar.
Our snorkel’s lagoon is approximately 100m wide and stretches for kilometres along the west coast; the lagoon water is crystal clear and full of colourful reef fish and a variety of live coral. It is the perfect place to use your snorkelling equipment, which is provided by Crown Beach free of charge to all paying guests.
During the day we highly recommend you to position one of our many sun loungers under the shade of a palm tree as you absorb stunning vistas of the blue Pacific and by night witness an amazing firey sunset that leaves you lying under a blanket of the spectacular southern stars.
*Tribal Reserve* – a small portion of our beachfront is a tribal reserve and our traditional landowners have asked us to respect this special area. As such, we have fenced off the small beach area and have beautified the area with plants & flowers. We ask all resort guests to respect this tribal reserve by walking around it to get to the lagoon.
