OUR BEACH

The lagoon directly in front of our Resort is approximately 100m wide and stretches for kilometers along the west coast; the lagoon water is crystal clear and full of reef fish and a variety of coral.

There are many big rocks and pieces of coral in the lagoon, but these make for great areas to spot fish when snorkeling. Please remember to never go near the reef and maneuver around the big rocks when kayaking. All snorkel and kayak gear is available free of charge to inhouse guests.

OUR LOCATION

Crown Beach Resort & Spa is located on the sunset coast of Rarotonga, perfectly sheltered from the easterly trade winds that blow across Muri Beach.

Our ideal position on the western side of Rarotonga ensures our guests are only 10 minutes from Rarotonga International Airport, and a further 5 minutes to downtown Avarua (driving at 50km/h) where you will find a large array of resorts, restaurants and shops. Our sunset coast position presents a host of dining options and excursions for discerning guests. Rarotonga’s leading restaurants are positioned on the west coast and are easily accessible by foot, island bus service, motorbike or car.
